Long range 8-port Gigabit PoE+ switch with DIP switch

The Edimax GS-1008P V2 is a gigabit switch with eight PoE+ ports designed for use in small or medium-sized home network environments.
Eight DIP switches allow PoE ports to be manually set with on/off control, extending PoE delivery distance up to 200 meters, and port-based on/off control for VLAN and QoS is also supported.
The switch easily connects and powers PoE-enabled devices such as wireless access points, network cameras and IP phones, as well as other Ethernet-enabled devices such as computers, printers or NAS (Network Attached Storage).
The compact size and fanless design make the switch an ideal solution for expanding home and small business networks.

Power over Ethernet (PoE+) Automatic detection
Features eight IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) ports that deliver up to 30 watts of power per port.
It can convert standard 100-240V AC power to low-voltage 50-57V DC power to power IEEE 802.3at-compliant network accessories over existing LAN cables.
With the PoE detection function, the GS-1008P V2 can check whether the connected device is IEEE 802.3at compliant.
If a PoE device is not detected, only network data is transmitted over the LAN cable - this means easy setup and management of network devices such as access points and network cameras.

CCTV mode
The unique DIP switch function in CCTV mode is ideal for surveillance network environments.
Turning on all DIP switches enables CCTV mode, which offers multi-functional PoE+ data extension, port isolation and QoS on the GS-1008P V2.
When using home, business, or institutional video surveillance systems, CCTV mode offers better multicast viewing speeds and easier installation.
Turning all DIP switches back to "Off" will quickly restore the GS-1008P V2 to normal for general data transmission.

Power and data distance extension
The built-in DIP switch offers extended operating modes for switches 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7.
The GS-1008P V2 works as a "standard" IEEE 802.at/af PoE switch when the DIP switches are turned off.
With switches on, the GS-1008P V2 operates at 10Mbps duplex per port, but can support 30W PoE output power over a distance of up to 200 meters, breaking the 100m limit of Ethernet UTP Cable.
With this brand new feature, GS-1008P V2 provides an additional solution for 802.3at/af PoE distance extension and save Ethernet cable installation cost.

Innovative port-based VLAN capabilities
The GS-1008P V2 features port-based VLAN, where ports can be isolated from each other via DIP switches port 3 and 8.
This can prevent IP camera multicast or broadcast storms from affecting each other.

Hardware QoS for video and voice traffic priority
Supports 802.1p QoS via DIP switch port 4.
This ensures first priority for video and voice traffic.

Plug & Play, no installation required
Simply connect Ethernet or PoE enabled devices to the switch.
Data and power can be transmitted over existing standard Cat 5e Ethernet cables without the need for additional cabling or configuration.
The GS-1008P V2 reduces the difficulty, time and cost of network setup.
