Description
This active optical cable (AOC) is the perfect solution for high-quality, virtually lossless transmission of large amounts of data over long distances. Thanks to its all-metal connector housings, the cable is highly resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). Combined with its CPR certification, this makes it ideal for buildings and offices as a fixed cable between the data source and the display.
Because the connectors convert electrical signals into optical signals (light), the signal can be transmitted over longer distances than with conventional copper cables, yet the cable remains very thin and flexible. Furthermore, there is no need to add an external power supply, which is common when using copper wire cables over longer distances.
