Description
This active optical cable (AOC) is the perfect solution for high-quality, virtually lossless transmission of large amounts of data over long distances. The all-metal connector housing makes the cable highly resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). Combined with its CPR certification, this makes it the ideal cable for buildings and offices—as a permanent installation between the source and the display.
Because the connectors convert electrical signals into optical signals (light), the signal can be transmitted over longer distances than is possible with conventional copper cables. The cable is still very narrow and flexible. Furthermore, there's no need to add an external power supply, which is common when using copper wire cables over longer distances.
