Mit dem EIN/AUS-Steuergerät können die MobilPOWER Inverter der Baureihe SMI Sinus über den Anschluss D+ der Lichtmaschine automatisch ein- und ausgeschaltet werden. Durch Anlegen von 12V- bzw. 24V-Batteriespannung über Hauptschalter, Zeitschaltuhr, einfachen Ein/Aus-Schalter usw. an die Anschlussklemme On/Off, kann der Wechselrichter ebenso ein- und ausgeschaltet werden. Das am Wechselrichter vorhandene Bedienteil kann entfallen, da das Gerät nun über das EIN/AUS-Steuergerät ein- und ausgeschaltet wird. Soll das Bedienteil weiterhin als Anzeigepanel verwendet werden, kann es als Fernbedienung abgesetzt vom Gerät platziert werden. Dazu steht die im Lieferumfang des Inverters befindliche, 5 m lange Steuerleitung zur Verfügung
